CARE FOR CUSHINGS VOUCHER SCHEME
From 1st February 2026, the free* PPID testing scheme is changing.
In 2026, Boehringer are moving to a more focused free PPID testing campaign - in spring and autumn - to improve engagement and enhance the impact of disease education.
They are also introducing a NEW dose-checker test from 4-6 weeks.
What’s changing?
- Focused Cushing’s Awareness months
Free* diagnostic PPID testing will now only be available in spring (March and April) – when laminitis risk is highest – and autumn (September and October) – when diagnostic accuracy of the ACTH test peaks.
- NEW free* dose-checker test
4-6 weeks after treatment initiation.
What does this mean?
- Free* diagnostic testing vouchers will only be available through Care About Cushing’s in March, April, September and October in 2026. For more information please visit the Care for Cushings website.
- You will still be eligible for annual monitoring tests following the initial dose checker.
